【 HR Solutions 】Keys to Successfully Pitching Your Product ( 成功推銷產品的關鍵 )
what I find is whether you are in a meeting with someone, in an elevator, or whether you're talking to them on the phone, one of the most common and fundamental mistakes people make is telling people what they do rather than how they help people in their sales pitch.
I have seen this through thousands of pitches in conversations especially in sales.
The problem is you know yourself so well that you've forgotten how to talk to
people who don't know your industry.
They don't know your product and so you hear things like you know the application
platform software widget and it comes across as jargon junk that no one understands
except for you and the people in your own company.
So you gotta get rid of the jargon, you have to speak in simple English and so here's a couple of tricks you can use to help you understand how can you explain what you do in a simple way that people understand.
Explain that in 30 seconds or so to optimize their understanding and attention. Then they'll want to know more and will talk to you for longer.
You don't have to figure everything out but here are a couple of tips:
Tip 1 : When people ask you "What do you do?" , pretend that they ask you
"How do you help people" , or "How can you help me"
So if someone asks me, what I do, I could say that "I'm a sales coach and author"
However, what or I could say is: "I help companies multiply sales".
Tip 2 : Another way that you can practice how to refine your pitch, is to call someone who does not work in your industry, even your mother or someone at the coffee shop.
By forcing yourself to explain how you help people, to people who don't know your industry and product, you will have to simplify your explanation in ways that everyone understand.
It will make such a huge difference because you can never assume that people you're calling on will understand your jargon or what you do.
So the simpler you can get it the better and use simple English.
So again start with the idea of asking yourself how do you help people and
go from there.

what I find is whether you are in a meeting with someone, in an elevator, or whether you're talking to them on the phone, one of the most...
